This is a feature article I wrote intended to be a solutions journalism piece. Solutions journalism explores a response to a problem, the results of this response, and the limitations to this response.
For this article I explored the issue of rural food insecurity and what a small town is doing to address this problem.
These are two blog posts I wrote as a part of the Better With Beef campaign which focused on promoting the beef industry to consumers.

This is a news article I wrote for the Collegian about Cam's Ag Experience. A group of students created the event to teach others' about agriculture.
Lead: Agriculture students at Colorado State University reached out to other students on the LSC plaza on Thursday with the purpose of creating an awareness about agriculture.
This is an article I wrote for the Collegian as a part of an election special that explained all the issues being voted on. I explored Amendment 71 and its implications.
Lead: Amendment 71 could make changing the Colorado constitution more difficult by adding requirements to get amendments on the ballot.
This is a new article I wrote for the Collegian about the annual Ag Adventure event. Third graders were invited by CSU to come learn about agriculture.
Lead: This Wednesday and Thursday almost 2,000 third graders from Poudre Valley School District were brought to Colorado State University’s Agricultural Research, Development and Education Center (ARDEC) to attend Ag Adventure Day.

Press Release
This is a press release I wrote for Laughing Buck Farm as a piece of a communications plan. This press release was designed to alert local media about an upcoming artisan fair that was hosted by the farm. By gaining media attention, the fair could get more publicity and have a larger turn out. This release was published by Scene Magazine.
Issue Brief
This is an issue brief I created as a part of a Food and Natural Resource Communications class. This class was designed to teach students to communicate agricultural and natural resource topics to the general public. I chose to create an issue brief on immigrant agricultural labor and the problems related to that issue.
